Patrik and his co-driver Göran made their first event in the IRC-Series in a Ford Fiesta run together with Petter Solbergs team PS Engineering. They came in on a honorable fifth position in the event.
It was not only the first time that they took on the tarmac stages of Ypres Rally it was also the first rally in the new S2000 car:
-" It was just about what we had hoped for before the rally. It is a very difficult rally that the other drivers ahead of us has driven many times before, so I am pleased with what we achieved" says Patrik.

Most of the rally run without issues:
-" We had a bit of bad luck when a driveshaft broke on the first stage on saturday" says Patrik " We had to run three stages before we could come in for service and fix it. We lost a couple of minutes and a few places on the board. We tried to regain the time later the day and aimed for forth place but we didn´t get there before the rally was over".

Despite the driveshaft everything went smooth and Patrik and Göran could move up to fifth. Juho Hänninen won the rally Freddy Loix came in second and Peter Tjosen third.

Next event for Patrik will be the San Marino IRC-Event the 7th-8th july
