In the lead with more than half a minute in PWRC in Spain

Patrik Flodin in the lead with more than half a minute in the P-WRC event Rally Spain - despite issues in the end of the day. Patrik Flodin and his co-driver Göran Bergsten is in Spain chasing more Championship points in P-WRC. the Rally is a mix of gravel and tarmac with both types on friday but pure tarmac on Saturday and Sunday.

The dust from the gravel have caused huge problems for the drivers. The dust has stayed on the road and made it impossible to see anything. The WRC crews started with three minutes in between each other but when they went back to take on the stages in the dark the rally crew decided to give them an extra minute. The rest of the crews had to start with only three minutes in between.
-"We got three minutes and it was really on the edge to become dangerous" says Patrik
" it was like driving in milk it all came down to trust the co-driver".

For Patrik and Göran the poor visibility didn´t cause to much hassle . They kept a high pace true the day and won four out of six stages. After the first day they have the lead with 45,9 seconds ahead of Michal Kosciuszko from Poland. Patrik was not 100% happy after the day.
-"We could have had a bigger lead but on the second last stage of the day the engine started to miss fire and in the beginning of the last stage the engine was running on two cylinders" Patrik tells us " luckily half way in a third cylinder started to work".

Patrik and Göran finished with the second fastest time on the last stage and had only lost 1,8 seconds.
-" We have been 10-20 seconds faster on all the other stages and the goal was full attack to get the biggest lead possible for the rest of the rally. I am happy we didn´t loose more time" Patrik says "But we still haven´t got one day without technical issues this season".

Another goal for Patrik and Göran is to be able to finnish the last two rallies for the season without issues:
-"Believe it or not but we still haven´t got a day without problem with the car in the Championship, it is really bad luck because the team is great and they are doing a great job, it is just so strange" Patrik finnish.
