Patrik Flodin pleased with his achievements in the WRC-mini in the world championship event in Germany.

Patrik Flodin and Göran Bergsten has just finished their first start in WRC together a rally that could have started better.

On the second stage on Friday the drivebelt for the waterpump broke.” It was really bad luck a small stone got stuck between the belt and the wheel and caused so much damage that we could not continue” Patrik tells us.

They had to throw in the towel but could start over again on Saturday according to super rally rules. During the first stage on Saturday they got a great time only 6.7 seconds behind the winner they continued to keep a good phase during the morning but got a puncture on stage four. After service they went out with some new settings on the car but Patrik and Göran could not get the same speed.
-“I was really pleased with my driving on Saturday morning” says Patrik

When Sunday morning came the settings was back like before and Patrik could manage to get 8th and 9th positions.
-“ We had a great time coming up on stage sixteen but I missed a junction and had to back up and got a engine stall” says Patrik that are happy about the weekend besides that.
-“It has been great fun . I have gained so much experience and every kilometer in the car makes me a better and faster driver, and we managed to get some good stage times” says Patrik

Now we just have to sit down and analyze this weekend’s driving.
-“ It has very different from the car we are used to. Now I know what I am doing wrong but still every now and then I do it wrong” Patrik laughs “ But now when we know it is just to practice”

Patrik and Göran worked their way up from 69th place to 27th after their restart on Friday.
