Patrik Flodin and Göran Bergsten was determined
to go out and make a drive so they would get a
decent amount of championship points in the rally.
After yesterdays devastating roll over they were
on sixteenth place and they need to get to eight
to get some important Championship points from
this weekend. They will also use the rally to
make test for the rest of the season.
They went out with a good pace on the ruff gravel
roads, were many drivers got flat tires and broke
the suspension. It went well for Patrik and Göran
with a second best place on the three opening
stages before service.
They made some changes during service just to
try to get some more speed out of the car with
the intent to go out and win the last three stages
of the day.
- unfortunately we had problems with the
suspension that took many hit on the morning
Patrik explains.
Despise the suspension they won the first stage
after service but after that it was done. On the
second last stage they only lost about 15 seconds
and came in forth. Then it was completely done.
- I thought that we had to retire but after
looking over the car we found that the suspension
was loose says Patrik
The problem was solved and they could cross the
finishline but had lost over twelve minutes and
the championship points were gone again.
- What can I say Göran laughs
There is nothing else to do except laugh
at all the misery
Tomorrow the four last stages will be run.
-It is just to get up and get back on the
road again with new stage wins Göran
finish.
