No it didn´t get any better today for Patrik
Flodin and Göran Bergsten. From the beginning
on Friday it looked good with a second fastest
time on Friday.
But then everything turned and got worse and worse.
They rolled over on the third stage and then it
never stopped.
-Lots of technical problems I think that
everything that could go wrong went wrong this
weekend says Patrik
The suspension problems were huge after the last
service and Patrik thought that they should not
survive the rally. However that turned out to
be a minor issue.
-We only have rear wheel drive and there
is a hole in the gearbox. We don´t know
if the gearbox will last the final stage, but
the team wants us to cross the finish line so
we will do our best. Patrik reported before
the start of the last stage on Sunday.
They manage to finish the last stage against all
odds and with that one of the worst rallies in
the career was over.
- If I should look for something positive
the only thing I can think of is when the car
became a rear wheel drive. It felt like driving
a Volvo with a lot of horsepower and that is always
fun. Patrik laughs.
They finished on tenth place and got one championship
point.
-Well that is a small comfort says
Patrik with disappointment in is voice.
Next round for Patrik and Göran is P-WRC
Argentina 27-29 may.
