Patrik lost second place due to a flat tire

The last round in the Chineses championship Rally Fogan was run this weekend. Patrik started together with Hongyun Honghe Rally team with Morgan Olsson as co-driver.

The Rally consisted of 15 specialstages and the surface was a mix of tarmac and concrete.
-" I had a hard time finding the right pace and way to tackle the surface. During the last two stages on Saturday I changed the way to drive completely and got the speed. It felt backwards but we got the speed needed." says Patrik.

Unfortunately during Saturday Patrik got a flat tire on one of the stages.

-"We had to drive 4 km on a flat tire and lost a lot of time " Patrik explains.

Patrik was on forth place after Saturdays stages with six stages to go on Sunday.
-" Sunday went really good we won one of the stages and came in second on three of them" says Patrik

They climbed up to a second place in the Rally.
-" But we got another flat tire and had to run almost the whole stage with it" he says.

They lost 2 minutes and ended up on fift place but the leader Mark Higgins was disqualified after the Rally on the car inspection after the rally so Patrik climbed up to fourth place.

-" I am pretty pleased overall with the day. I have found a way to drive and a good pace on this surface and it has been great fun to drive today." Says Patrik.

With that the fifth and last round in the Chinese championship has come to an end.
-"It has been a great year in China I have learned a lot" says Patrik. "I have improved my skills on tarmac a lot and the competition has been great. It is the same pace here as in the P-WRC" Patrik explains. "I am really looking forward to next season that starts in marsh with a snow rally".
