Patrik and Goran had almost a tree and a half
minute lead when they went out today on the last
eight stages of rally Japan. So it was all about
taking it easy not run into technical problems
and defending the lead.
-" We just went out there and held our pace,
not to slow just to keep concentration."
Patrik laughts " I really have to thank my
whole URT-team for doing a great job with the
car this weekend. They have been working hard
and kept the car in absolute mint condition all
the time."
They finally won the rally 2:45,8 minutes before
Hayden Paddon. Gianluca Linari came in third his
first time on the podium ever. With this win Patriks
climbs up to the total lead of the P-WRC championship.
-" It has been a different rally. Normally
you have a adrenaline rush all the time and fight
for seconds. This time we had the lead with more
then a minute allready after four stages and since
then it has all been more or less about not doing
any mistakes and just getting true the stages
but I am not complaining" Patrik laughts
"It is a really great victory"
Two more rounds are still to go in hte P-WRC Championship
but the next race for Patrik is coming up next
weekend.
-" We are going to run the Xue Cheng Rally
witch is part of the Chinese championship so I
am heading out for China tomorrow. Unfortunantly
Göran can´t join so it will be Morgan
Olsson my first co-driver that will be in the
seat instead. We willl have fun." Patrik
