The sixth round in the Russian championship is
coming up and Patrik has been there to do tests
since Monday.
This time Håkan Palm is entering the right
seat as co-driver for the first time with Patrik
.
- This will be exciting. It will be the
first time we do a rally together says Patrik.
Today we have been running some tests
and done some recognition. It was a bit strange
in the beginning but after a few rounds we found
the pace. So this will be great Patrik laughts.
Rally Ural is taking place in south Ural and consist
of eight special stages that adds up to 159,34
km. If we count the transport it is totally 247,36
km. The whole area is an old mining site. It is
the second time Patrik take on these roads, he
did it last year together with is permanent co-driver
Göran Bergsten.
-It is really nice that finally run a rally
that even I have driven before says Patrik.
it is a special rally that runs on
old mining roads up to 800 meters above sea level.
Last year heavy rain caused problems with extremely
slippery roads as a consequence.
-We have had the time to run just about
half of the stages and this year the roads are
extremely dry. Says Patrik.
